The Feyzabad-Naein lead and zinc mine is one of the oldest mines in the region, and according to available reports, a phase of exploration and extraction activity began in 1964 and was resumed in 1973. It seems that with the increase and decrease in ore grade, the mine has become uneconomical and has been forced to close.This mine was considered one of the abandoned mines of Isfahan province until in 1999, the Isfahan Province General Department of Mines and Metals issued an exploration approval in principle. In 2000, due to the lack of financial and technical capacity of the license holder, this exploration license was transferred to the “Gostaresh sanaye Maaden va zobe felezat Rangin Markazi Company based on a legal settlement document, and This company conducted the first stage of exploration based on a feasibility study on the area, and the first discovery certificate after the Islamic Revolution was issued for this mine on September 21, 2004. After submitting the report, documents, and evidence, the mining license was issued in the name of this company on December 21, 2005, and mining operations began in this mine.
Due to the low grade of the ore and the presence of the disturbing element magnesium along with zinc, sales of the mineral were not very successful and by 2010 Mining operations using traditional methods. and it was progressing slowly and was accompanied by losses. In 2011, with the establishment of an experienced engineering team in the exploration and extraction department, the mine was converted from a traditional to a semi-mechanized mode, and extraction was carried out with better efficiency. However, the presence of the disturbing element magnesium and low ore grade was still a serious obstacle to increasing income and developing mining activities. Until, with investment and the efforts and efforts of our respected colleagues, a processing unit was built in the mine. The technology to remove the disturbing element magnesium was also achieved by the company’s research team and patented. As a result, it became possible to sell the product at an economical price, and investment was made to purchase specialized exploration and extraction machinery. With the efforts of the engineering and specialist team in various units, mining was mechanized, and as a result, the development of the flotation and heavy media unit was possible.
